EVALUATION

In this section You are called to fill in the Evaluation of Expero Model indicators, in particular QR, SR and QI

QR is based on 2 data surveys: one about expectations (QR-EX), one about perceptions (QR-PER). The collected data are all qualitative. The transformation of these data in numerical values has to be done by the school evaluator. This process is called “operazionalization”:

The School-Evaluator has to give a score to each sub-indicator of QR, comparing Expectations and Perceptions of each external stakeholder category.

The sub-indicators are: competencies, employability, credit system, drop out, meeting the future needs. They derive from the information collected in the first survey about Expectations.
The External Stakeholders categories are: families or associations of special needs people, companies, customers of companies, vocational associations, universities, ministries, EC.

This means that the School-Evaluator has to give one score for each sub-indicator by each stakeholder involved.
To attribute each score, the School-Evaluator must read the related report of expectations and perceptions, then give a score representing the fitting percentage. This score represents how much the Perceptions fit for the Expectations. The scale is 0 -100. It represents the percentage of “fitting” the expectations (%).

If the score is close to 0, it means the HTE does not meet the expectations of that category of stakeholder in that sub-indicator at all. If the score is close to 100, it means the HTE perfectly meets the expectations of that category of stakeholder in that sub-indicator. If the score is around 50%, it means the HTE meets them just partially.

You can find an example in the section Data, page Matrix and analisys

now fill in the ExPerO data sheet the table INPUT (look at an example)

Here you can find the ExPerO Excel sheet, please save it in a folder of your computer before using it.

SR – Satisfaction of Result by Trainees

This index represents the level of satisfaction of the learning outcome by the Trainees, including the special needs trainees. It is based on Customer Satisfaction model, that refers to ServPerf structure, in which expectations are already included in the personal perception system.
Data will be collected through interviews to students (see par. Guideline for SR). At the end of the interview the students have to give a final score that represents the own level of satisfaction about the learning outcome.
Then, School-Evaluator has to read the qualitative answers and the average of the student scores. At this point, the School-Evaluator gives the own score (0-100) representing in percentage how much the students are satisfied of the learning outcome. This final score is limited by a range of 30 points around the students’ average score. In other words the evaluator’s score cannot be more than 15 points up or down of the students average.

QI – Quality of the Image

This index represents the level of satisfaction of the school image. It is given by the School-Evaluator using a score 0-100, after the reading of the image report. The image report assembles a synthesis of the data collected by external stakeholders and trainees about the values associated to the “name of the institution”.
